The Framerian Culture

Who we are

We are what we do. Our choices and actions cultivate the virtues that constitute our Framerian work culture and community. By embodying our values of respect, courage and curiosity, transparency, responsibility, and good judgment, we shape our goals and ways of working.

Grow talent

We are a workplace that wants its employees to grow and learn, to question and be curious. An open feedback culture enables us to work better, grow, and succeed together.

Diversity

At Framery we want people who are not cut from the same cloth. Instead, we want people with diverse backgrounds and experiences to bring their different ways of thinking and doing to the team.

Mental well-being

Employee well-being is the cornerstone of our company’s success. We aim to improve well-being by supporting mental health and physical activity and fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

OUR VALUES

Values are the heart of our culture

Our values are based on the abilities and practices that we especially appreciate in each other, and they guide us in our decision-making.

DEI WORK

Diversity, equity and inclusion

At Framery, we are dedicated to making our workplace a welcoming environment for all. Because we want to attract, keep, and engage the best and brightest, we want to create a workplace that promotes our employees’ health, safety, and well-being and fosters a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

Diversity

In 2023, our team reached new heights in diversity, with more hires in Finland from varied cultural, national, linguistic, gender, age, and educational backgrounds.

Gender pay gap

In 2023, the salary ratio between women and men was 0.95 for office workers and 1.01 for production employees, indicating near equality.

Parental leave

In 2023, 12% of women, 14% of men, and 9% of employees with undisclosed gender took parental leave, with a 100% return-to-work rate across all groups.

Successful workdays are our primary purpose as a company – it is the essence and reason for everything we do. Success can be found through the impact of our products, our commitment to our people, and in the way we work.

EMPLOYEE WELLBEING

A mental health friendly workplace

Mental health has always been one of our focus areas and we want to be a forerunner in this area. In 2023 we partnered with Mieli, a Finnish non-profit organization dedicated to mental health. Experts from Mieli helped us assess the current state of our actions around mental health and identified future focus areas we are now working on:

  • Mental well-being related training and tools for team leaders
  • Renewal of pre-employment health examination
  • Various organizational communications

CULTURE HANDBOOK

All things Framerian

We wrote a culture handbook to express our vision of how we succeed together as a company. It highlights what it means to be a Framerian: what we value, what we expect from each other, how we work, and how we get the best possible results. A better workplace is a byproduct of what we do – and how we do it.

EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT

Employee insight-led culture

At Framery, we prioritize understanding employee engagement, motivation, and experience through the annual Siqni survey. With response rates consistently near 90%, our survey results offer a reliable foundation for continuous workplace improvement.

In 2024, we were honored with the Future Workplaces. This recognition is awarded to companies with a culture driven by exceptional employee insight, highlighting us as an industry front-runner.

Job shadowing brings perspective

Framery Job Shadowing Days provide an opportunity for all Framerians to participate in a one-day job rotation – so to speak. We create shadowing pairs, where one person acts as the shadowee and the other as the shadower. The shadower takes part in the shadowee’s workday and meetings, getting to know another role and learning about Framery’s operations from a different perspective.

BUSINESS PARTNER, PLANNING & ANALYTICS

Milja Malm

“Shadowing Mathieu Piriou, Commercial Marketing Manager, was insightful. I enjoyed seeing the day-to-day operational activities of the marketing team, from writing case studies to meeting with external service providers, showing just how much work and planning goes into marketing. I strongly recommend job shadowing to see what’s happening in other functions and learn from other teams!”

AREA SALES MANAGER, FINLAND

Karoliina Laakso

“I got to shadow Arto Vahvanen, Head of Digital Offerings & Customer Experience for a day. The day was interesting, fun, and educational. I learned an incredible amount of things that I thought I already knew and I had the chance to participate in many different meetings with different functions.”

Framerians say that the best thing about Framery is “our people”. We invest in our people, because we believe that successful people make the best possible products – and provide our customers with the best service.
