For this year’s competition, the Chicago Athenaeum received a record number of submissions from leading manufacturers and industrial and graphic design firms from over 47 countries. In November, the 69th GOOD DESIGN jury met in Los Angeles and New York to deliberate and select the 900 winning product designs and graphics
“It is an honor to have Framery 2Q selected as a leading design by such a prestigious organization,” says CEO and Co-Founder of Framery, Samu Hällfors. “The Chicago Athenaeum’s dedication to discovering design excellence is something we admire and strive for here at Framery. We are looking forward to participating in future opportunities such as these, alongside our fellow forward-thinking design leaders in the industry.
Framery 2Q is a meeting pod conceptualized to combat the lack of privacy in an open office floor plan. Designed to accommodate four to six people, Framery 2Q provides users with a multifunctional workplace that offers a heightened sense of privacy and comfort. It comes in three furnishing configurations for clients to choose from so that they can cater the product to the needs of their space.
First is a conference table equipped with two height options for optimal laptop use or workshopping. Framery 2Q is also available for purchase without any furniture, leaving clients the option to furnish it however they wish. Lastly, a custom L-shaped sofa that is designed for optimal user comfort. The sofa creates a more casual environment for company meetings, a calm space to retreat to during the work day, or an area for socializing. Additional options include two whiteboards and lightweight free-standing, floating tables to make for a more ergonomic work space.
In addition to winning the 2019/2020 GOOD DESIGN Awards, Framery 2Q was a finalist in two other programs this year, including Architectural Record’s 2019 Record Products of the Year and a Best of NeoCon Silver Award.
