From Trainees to Experts: Inspiring Stories of Growth at Framery

For many young professionals looking to jumpstart their careers, our Trainee program has been a great chance to develop their skills, and bring their unique talents to Framery.

It’s not unusual for Framery Trainees to find a permanent home at Framery. That includes Akseli and Annika, two former Trainees who found permanent roles at the company, and learned a lot about themselves along the way.

Akseli’s Passionate Transition

Akseli began his journey with Framery as a sourcing trainee while studying accounting and economics at Tampere University. Driven by a passion for sustainability, and its intersection with accounting, Akseli dove head first into corporate sustainability reporting, focusing his graduate research on the progress of CSRD and ESRS standards.

“Back in January of 2024, I was looking for summer jobs and came across Framery at a recruitment event which I actually organized myself within our business students’ association. After a quick chat there with Framery’s representatives I was thrilled with what Framery had to offer, and sent my application the very next day.”

In his initial role as a sourcing trainee, Akseli was responsible for collaborating with suppliers, managing purchasing needs, and ensuring that sourcing practices were both cost-effective and sustainable. This role allowed him to integrate his academic knowledge with practical experiences, fostering a solid foundation in sustainable sourcing processes.

“During my trainee period, I was instantly given responsibility and contributed to various projects during the summer, which included creating a supplier risk management tool – probably the most extensive of those projects. I was also able to showcase my keen interest in sustainability by contributing to our supplier code of conduct update project.”

Akseli recently made the transition from the sourcing team to the finance team – taking on the role of Sustainability Specialist at Framery.

“It has been highly motivating to see how I can influence my own tasks here based on my interests and expertise. I feel that I’m genuinely making an impact on our business.”

This has been a significant turning point for Akseli, taking pride in his personal growth, and is eager to continue exploring his professional development with Framery.

Annika’s Inspiring Story of Growth

In 2022, Annika joined Framery as a trainee in the Partner Support team while studying Marketing at the University of Vaasa. Welcomed by fantastic leadership and warm colleagues, Annika felt immediately comfortable at Framery – and working with Partner Support.

“I was surprised how much trust and responsibility I was given from day one, which helped me learn things quickly. I had a great team leader who supported me with all the questions I had, and colleagues who warmly welcomed me to the team and made me feel like a valuable team member.”

Working at Framery came naturally to Annika, and when an opportunity to work in marketing appeared, she took the leap. In 2023 she joined the Commercial Marketing team as a Marketing Trainee, where she managed extensive projects and collaborates closely with dealer partners.

“Seeing the great results & getting feedback on my projects has helped me not only to develop but to trust my own skillset.”

Her dedication and outstanding performance led to a permanent role as a Marketing Specialist, where she continues to focus on marketing collaboration and contribute to Framery’s marketing strategy. And in Spring of 2024, Annika took the lead in organizing two global launch events for the new Framery smart pods, putting her front and center of the entire organization.

“Leading these events was the perfect opportunity to manage fast-paced projects, and to expand my expertise in a completely new setting. I was incredibly excited about the responsibility I was given – especially after being a trainee only a few months prior.”

The Journey Continues

Both Akseli and Annika envision bright futures within Framery – aiming to further their expertise, take on new challenges, and drive innovative projects that contribute to the company’s success. “I’ve really enjoyed working with Framery,” says Annika, “It’s inspiring to be surrounded by a motivated group of people from whom you can constantly learn.”
