Framery Donates Soundproof Pod to Support Neurodiverse Students in Tampere

Framery has donated a custom Framery Four pod to Puistokoulu, a special education school in Tampere, Finland, to support the learning and well-being of children with special needs.

Puistokoulu is a specialized school that provides individualized learning environments for children with neurodevelopmental and emotional challenges. With small group teaching, therapeutic support, and tailored learning paths, the school creates a safe and structured setting for students who thrive outside of mainstream classrooms.

To support their mission, Framery donated a Framery Four acoustic pod, specially configured to meet the sensory needs of Puistokoulu’s students – as well as faculty. The interior of the pod was customized with calming light blue and navy tones, and intentionally designed to be free from visual or tactile distractions, creating a peaceful environment where children can focus, reflect, or simply decompress.

“Puistokoulu plays a critical role in our local community by supporting students who need more than a traditional classroom can offer,” says Framery CEO Samu Hällfors. “We’re proud to contribute a solution that can help both students and teachers get the calm, focused space they need throughout the school day.”

Framery pods are private, enclosed spaces that foster emotional regulation and autonomy – making them especially helpful for sensory sensitivities or anxiety. Quiet environments reduce physiological stress and promote healthier long-term performance by protecting cognitive and emotional resources.

The Framery Four is now used regularly by both teachers and students – serving as a space for quiet reading, one-on-one support, small group discussions, and emotional self-regulation. Its compact footprint and sleek design allowed it to fit seamlessly into the school’s hallway space, blending naturally with the building’s layout and aesthetic.

This donation reflects Framery’s broader commitment to neuroinclusion, local partnerships, and well-being in education.

“At Framery, we believe that everyone—regardless of age or neurotype—deserves access to environments that support their success,” says Hällfors. “Whether it’s in an office or a classroom, soundproof pods can be life-changing tools for creating focus and calm.”

Framery’s work with Puistokoulu is part of an ongoing effort to support communities through thoughtful design, inclusive solutions, and meaningful donations. By creating supportive spaces for today’s neurodivergent students, we are pioneering a future where those same individuals can enter an inclusive workforce where they will continue to be supported throughout their career.

Whether in schools or offices, quiet, inclusive spaces like Framery pods can help unlock potential, reduce stress, and make it easier for every mind to succeed on their own terms. As the need for personalized learning and working environments continues to grow, Framery remains dedicated to making spaces work better for everyone.
